Ponds can be protected by Roping. This consists of stinging rope across the pond or water feature. This will stop the geese from being able to land in the water. Even if they do land they will have to navigate through the rope and will soon leave.

You can place the ropes about every 10 or 5 feet. You can get rope at many home improvement stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot. This means that you can stop those geese cheaply. The ropes would only need to be replaced if they got damaged. This is unlikely and the most you would have to do is fix the ropes if the got tangled.
